Course Overview: Some learners may appear disengaged, disruptive, or resistant because their needs are not being met. Effective support begins with looking beyond the visible behavior and seeking to understand what may be affecting participation and learning.
This course helps educators identify underlying learner needs and apply targeted strategies to improve participation, behavior, and support. It develops constructive approaches for responding to resistance, strengthening engagement, and supporting more positive learning experiences.

Target Audience: Educators, learning-support professionals, counsellors, behaviour-support staff, and school leaders supporting disengaged learners.

Activities support early identification, calm responses, re-engagement, individual adaptation, and inclusive relationship-building.
