Course Overview: Stress, adversity, and difficult life experiences can affect learner behaviour, participation, emotional wellbeing, and academic success. Trauma-informed teaching helps educators respond with awareness, predictability, compassion, and appropriate professional boundaries.

This course equips educators to recognise signs of stress and dysregulation, create emotionally safe classrooms, support regulation and resilience, and respond calmly to behavioural challenges. It remains focused on education – not diagnosis or therapy – and includes collaboration, referral awareness, cultural sensitivity, and educator wellbeing.

Target Audience: Educators, counsellors, safeguarding and wellbeing teams, learning-support professionals, and school leaders developing trauma-informed practice.

Learning Experience: Learners engage through video overviews, audio deep dives, study guides, practical examples, reflection prompts, workbook activities, applied tasks, knowledge checks, and end-of-module quizzes. Activities support recognition of stress responses, safe routines, calm communication, de-escalation, resilience, collaboration, and educator wellbeing.

Course Structure: 6 modules / 29 lessons.
