Course Overview: Learners with Special Educational Needs may require additional support, appropriate accommodations, and flexible teaching approaches to participate fully in education. Effective support begins with careful observation, respectful communication, and an understanding of individual learner needs.

This course equips educators to understand common SEN categories, recognise signs that additional support may be needed, and adapt teaching, activities, and assessment. It also strengthens collaboration with families and support professionals while maintaining appropriate educator roles and referral processes.

Target Audience: Classroom educators, SEN coordinators, learning-support professionals, teaching assistants, and school leaders supporting learners with SEN.

Learning Experience: Learners engage through video overviews, audio deep dives, study guides, practical examples, reflection prompts, workbook activities, applied tasks, knowledge checks, and end-of-module quizzes. Activities support learner observation, differentiated instruction, accommodations, flexible assessment, collaboration, and appropriate referral awareness.

Course Structure: 6 modules / 28 lessons.
